DESKTOP
Overview
The “Desktop” is the central component of Desktoptwo/Computadora.de. The “Desktop” first shows the log in screen and then, once the user has initiated the session correctly, controls and determines all of the events, images, visualizations and the overall look and feel of the user interface, including the position of the icons, the color of the screen and the wallpaper. The “Desktop” is also made up of various “components:" Menu, Icons, Task manager and widget information.
As of today, with the launch of this version of the “Desktop," which is the current version in production, it is essential that all tests are conducted on an actual server that includes all of the requirements for Desktoptwo to work correctly. If you do not have a test server available, you can use the Desktoptwo/Computadora.de server in order to conduct tests directly, but be aware that you will not be able to modify the backend files. If you wish to begin testing small applications that you’ve created, you will have to use an external server that stores your backend files and make direct calls from the SWF that you are modifying.
